The Salesian Parish of St. Michael’s, Damra, witnessed a profound expression of faith as it simultaneously organized the Garo Sobha and the All Bodo Community Sobha from January 23 to 26, 2025. These spiritual gatherings, held in the villages of Laskerpara and Pahartuli, respectively, brought together the faithful for a time of prayer, reflection, and renewal.
The Garo Sobha of the Parish of Damra took place in Laskerpara village, where members of the Garo community gathered in devotion and unity. Meanwhile, the All Bodo Community Sobha of the Archdiocese was hosted in Pahartuli villae, fostering a deep spiritual experience for the Bodo faithful. These events were not only moments of worship but also platforms for reinforcing cultural and religious identity within the diverse communities of the region.
The presence of Most Rev. John Moolachira, DD, Archbishop of Guwahati, and Most Rev. Thomas Pulloppillil, Bishop of Bongaigaon, as Chief Guests added great significance to the Sobhas. Their inspirational messages emphasized faith, communal harmony, and the importance of spiritual renewal in everyday life.
The Sobhas served as a beautiful testimony of the unwavering faith of the people of God.
