The Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Kharghuli, Assam, celebrated the 75th Republic Day of India on 26th January 2025 with great fervor and enthusiasm. Shri Rajendra P. Agarwalla, IFS (Rtd.), former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden of Assam, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Currently serving as a Biodiversity and Forest Expert for the Meghalaya JICA project, Shri Agarwalla has made notable contributions to national and international initiatives in environment and rural development.
Smt. Sambhavi Mishra, ADCP of Guwahati City, joined as the Guest of Honour. In their addresses, both dignitaries urged the students to uphold patriotism and actively contribute to the nation’s development.
Rev. Fr. Cletus Sebastian SDB, Executive Director of DBI, extended words of welcome to the guests and highlighted the institute’s commitment to fostering values of unity and national pride.
The celebrations featured vibrant performances by the students, including patriotic songs and dances, which added color and energy to the event.
