The faithful of Doomni Parish at the start of the Pre-Christmas Get-Together.
St John Bosco Church, Doomni, witnessed a vibrant and faith-filled celebration on Sunday, 21 December 2025, as the parish organised Christmas Carols and a Christmas Carnival in the church premises. The event drew a huge gathering of the faithful from the parish and neighbouring areas, creating an atmosphere filled with joy, devotion, and festive cheer in preparation for the celebration of Christmas.
The programme began with a solemn prayer service led by Rev. Fr. Bharkar Raj Chinthamalla, SDB, the Parish Priest. In his prayer and message, Fr. Bharkar highlighted the true spirit of Christmas, inviting the faithful to open their hearts to peace, love, and reconciliation. He spoke about the importance of unity within families and the parish community, especially in today’s world marked by divisions and unrest. He encouraged everyone to become messengers of peace and prayed that God’s peace may abound in the lives of all the parishioners and in their families.
Following the prayer service, the celebration took on a lively and joyful tone as parishioners gathered around the beautifully decorated Christmas crib and joined in singing Christmas carols. The melodious carols, sung with great enthusiasm, filled the church campus with a festive spirit, reminding everyone of the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ. Children, youth, and adults actively participated, making the celebration truly inclusive and community-oriented.
The Christmas Carnival added colour and excitement to the evening, offering moments of fun, fellowship, and togetherness. The faithful enjoyed dancing, sharing laughter, and celebrating the season of joy as one family. The joyful participation of the parishioners reflected the strong sense of belonging and unity within the parish community.
