On 7 December 2025, the Christ the King Parish, Sojong, celebrated a grace-filled Parish Day coinciding with the Silver Jubilee of the First Profession of Rev. Fr. Pradeep Ekka, SDB, on the Second Sunday of Advent. The celebration brought together the parish community in a spirit of gratitude, unity, and joy.
A total of seven priests, one deacon, and two coadjutor brothers joined the parish community for the special occasion. The solemn Thanksgiving Mass was presided over by the Jubilarian, Fr. Pradeep Ekka. In his homily, Rev. Fr. Joseph Teron, Principal of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Baitalangso, highlighted the significance of coming together as a parish family, emphasizing unity as the foundation of a vibrant Christian community.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, a colourful and lively cultural programme was held. Various groups, including the Men’s and Women’s Associations, school students, boarding boys and girls, and parishioners from the sub-centres, showcased their talents through a variety of performances, adding joy and vibrancy to the event.
During the programme, the Jubilarian and the invited guests were warmly honoured and felicitated by the parish community in recognition of their service and presence.
The day’s celebration concluded with a fellowship meal, strengthening the bonds of communion among the faithful and marking the occasion as a memorable moment in the life of Christ the King Parish, Sojong.
