Sisters and parishioners at St Joseph's Co Cathedral Church on Sunday.
A spirit of joy and thanksgiving filled St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral, Panbazar on October 19, 2025, as the parish community gathered to celebrate the canonization of St. Maria Troncatti, FMA, a Salesian Sister known as the Mother Missionary, Artisan of Peace and Reconciliation.
The solemn Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Bromio Ch. Marak, SDB, Assistant Parish Priest, and concelebrated by several priests. Many Salesian Sisters (FMA), parishioners, and young faithful participated in the celebration, offering prayers of gratitude for the gift of a new saint in the Salesian Family.
In his homily, Fr. Bromio reflected on the exemplary life of St. Maria Troncatti, who dedicated her life to the service of the poor and the marginalized, embodying the spirit of Don Bosco and Mary Mazzarello through her missionary zeal and compassion.
The celebration concluded with hymns of thanksgiving and a renewed commitment among the faithful to follow the path of holiness and service exemplified by St. Maria Troncatti.
