ING took part in All India Don Bosco Inter-Province Basketball Tournament at Hyderabad

The All India Don Bosco Inter-Province Basketball Tournament 2025 was successfully organized by the Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA) and DBYA–Sports Academy at Don Bosco School of Excellence, Motinagar, Hyderabad, under the leadership of the Hyderabad Province (INH). The tournament, held from 10^th to 11^th October 2025, brought together young Salesian athletes from across India and Sri Lanka for two days of spirited competition and brotherhood. The province too sent players to participate in the tournament.

The event marked the First Inter-Provincial Level U-17 Basketball Tournament organized by Don Bosco Sports Academy. Twelve provinces participated in the tournament, including Mumbai (INB), Kolkata (INC), Dimapur (IND), Guwahati (ING), Hyderabad (INH), Bengaluru (INK), Chennai (INM), New Delhi (INN), Panjim (INP), Shillong (INS), Tiruchy (INT), and Sri Lanka (LKC).

The inaugural ceremony took place on 10^th October 2025 at 5:30 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Santiagu Thomas SDB, Provincial of Hyderabad (INH), as the Chief Guest, and Rev. Fr. Lepcha Patrick, South Asia Delegate for Youth Ministry (DBYA), as the Guest of Honour. The event commenced with a grand opening march past, inspiring speeches, and the lighting of the tournament flame, symbolizing the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and youthful enthusiasm.

Throughout the tournament, young players demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and discipline—true hallmarks of Don Bosco’s educational philosophy of integral youth formation. The games fostered camaraderie and healthy competition, aligning perfectly with the Salesian vision of empowering the young through sports and holistic development.
