The Province inaugurated its Annual Spiritual Retreat for Clerics and Brothers in Practical Training, College, and University Studies on 28th September 2025 at Joropara, North Garo Hills, Meghalaya. The retreat will continue until 4th October 2025, offering a week-long period of prayer, reflection, and renewal. Twenty-Eight clerics and brothers are attending the retreat.
The retreat is being preached by Rev Fr Blasius Tete SDB, from the Dimapur Province. With the theme “Da Mihi Animas, Caetera Tolle – Rekindling the Fire of Our Vocation,” the retreat aims to help young Salesians deepen their spiritual lives and rediscover the zeal of their vocation in the footsteps of St. John Bosco.
The opening day was marked with moments of prayer, silence, and fraternity, setting the tone for the week ahead. The retreat also provides an opportunity for participants to strengthen their bonds as members of the Salesian Family, while reflecting on their mission to serve the young with dedication and faith. Rev Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial opened the retreat with the Holy Mass for the participants. At 06:15 PM, the retreat began with the introductory talk by Rev Fr Blasius Tete SDB.
As the retreat unfolds, the clerics and brothers will engage in spiritual conferences, personal prayer, Eucharistic celebrations, and communal reflections, all aimed at rekindling their passion for the Salesian charism and mission.
The Annual Retreat at Joropara stands as a significant moment of grace and renewal for the Province, inspiring the young Salesians to embrace their call with renewed commitment and enthusiasm.
