The Pre-Novices of Don Bosco Pre-Novitiate House, Dotma, meaningfully conducted the Missionary Animation Prayer Service on Wednesday, 11 September 2025, focusing on the Salesian Mission in South Africa. The evening service, centered on the theme “Be A Missionary, Be A Witness – The Salesian Missionary”, inspired the participants to live out their missionary call with faith and zeal.
The prayer service unfolded with a hymn to the Holy Spirit, followed by a Scripture reading that set the spiritual tone of the evening. A video presentation highlighting the Salesian mission in Africa, coupled with intercessory prayers, deepened the missionary spirit among the participants.
A PowerPoint presentation prepared by the Pre-Novices enriched the gathering with insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by Salesians in South Africa.
Concluding the program, Rev. Fr. Mackley Gomes SDB, Director, exhorted and encouraged the Pre-Novices to nurture a missionary heart and to witness Christ in their daily lives, reminding them of their role in continuing Don Bosco’s mission for the young and the poor.
The prayer service served as a moment of grace and inspiration, strengthening the missionary fervor in the formation house.
