
Rev Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial along with the youth of St Francis Xavier Parish, Haflong on Sunday 31 August 2025.
The youth group of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Haflong, experienced a day of faith, formation, and inspiration as they were animated on the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) by Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial of the Province, on Sunday, 31st August 2025.
The programme was held after the Holy Mass, which was also celebrated by Fr. Bivan. Around 50 young people of the parish actively participated in the animation. Rev. Fr. Cornelius Myrthong SDB, Assistant Parish Priest and Youth Services Coordinator, warmly introduced the resource person, while Rev. Fr. Xavier Beck SDB, Principal, expressed gratitude to the Vice Provincial for animating the youth and guiding them in the spirit of Don Bosco.
During the session, Fr. Bivan highlighted the identity of the Salesian Youth Movement, the importance of youth spirituality, and the central role of the Eucharist in their lives. He also addressed the need for media literacy, encouraging the young people to make responsible use of digital platforms while being aware of both its benefits and challenges.
The youth of Haflong Parish expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Vice Provincial for his valuable time and effort in accompanying and animating them. The day strengthened their enthusiasm to live their faith with greater conviction and commitment in the spirit of Don Bosco.
