Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Amkachi, joined the rest of the nation on August 15, 2025 in celebrating the 79th Independence Day with great patriotism and joy. The school campus resonated with patriotic songs and cultural performances presented by the students to thank God for the gift of freedom.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Longkiri Engti, in his address, expressed his pride in being part of the celebration. He reminded the gathering that just as one takes pride in the achievements and progress of one’s school, so too must every citizen take pride in their nation. He urged the students and teachers to fulfill their responsibilities out of love for the country, contributing towards India’s growth as a democratic nation that respects every citizen.
Rev. Fr. Joachim Pumah SDB, the Parish Priest, warmly welcomed the guests, staff, and students to the occasion, setting the tone for a meaningful celebration.
The event was marked not only by cultural expressions of patriotism but also by a renewed sense of commitment among the students and staff to uphold the values of freedom, unity, and national pride.
