On August 9, 2025 the Don Bosco School, Sashipur, came alive with the warmth of memories and renewed commitment as it hosted the Past Pupils Meet. The gathering brought together former students from different batches, rekindling old friendships and celebrating the enduring bond they share with their alma mater.
The programme began with a welcome to all past pupils, followed by the introduction of the newly elected office bearers of the Past Pupil Association. This marked a significant moment as the leadership baton was officially handed over to the new team, tasked with guiding the association in its future endeavours.
The event was graced by Rev. Br. Albert Longley Dkhar SDB, Principal of Don Bosco School, Smit, who was the main speaker of the gathering. In his inspiring address, Br. Albert called upon the past pupils to see themselves as agents of change in society. He emphasised the importance of using their talents, skills, and resources for the betterment of the community, and urged them to embody the Salesian spirit of service, compassion, and excellence in all their undertakings.
Rev. Fr. Nicodim Aind SDB Principal of Don Bosco School, Sashipur, also addressed the assembly. He lauded the newly appointed office bearers for accepting the responsibility of leading the association and urged them to work tirelessly towards the progress and development of the school. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the team and encouraged all past pupils to remain connected to the institution that shaped their formative years.
The meeting was marked by moments of reflection, as the past pupils shared fond memories of their time at the school, reminiscing about experiences that shaped their lives. There was a shared sense of pride in being part of the Don Bosco family and a collective desire to contribute to its future.
