The Second Annual Spiritual Retreat of the Province, held at Siloam, Umiam, from 27 July to 2 August 2025, concluded on a spiritually enriching note with a solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB. The week-long retreat unfolded in an atmosphere of deep prayer, silence, and personal reflection.
The retreat was preached by Rev. Fr. Biji Thomas SDB, who captivated the participants by opening with a deeply personal sharing of the origins of his charism as a retreat preacher. His insights and reflections guided the confreres through a meaningful journey of interior renewal and vocational recommitment.
During the concluding Mass, the Provincial congratulated the confreres on completing the retreat and encouraged them to carry forward the fruits of the spiritual exercises in their Salesian life. He thanked Fr. Biji Thomas SDB for generously animating the retreat and helping the confreres deepen their relationship with Christ and Don Bosco’s charism. The retreatants solemnly renewed their Salesian vows and entrusted themselves anew to Mary Help of Christians. The confreres expressed joy and gratitude for the opportunity to attend the retreat, which they described as a transformative experience. Many shared that it had a profound impact on their lives and ministry, renewing their zeal to serve the young and the communities entrusted to their care with greater dedication and love.
