Youth Participants during the Summer Youth Camp 2025 held at St Paul's Parish, Amkachi.
The Catholic youth of St. Paul’s Parish, Amkachi, came together in great numbers for the much-awaited Summer Youth Camp 2025, held from 19th to 20th July 2025. The two-day event served as a platform for faith formation, fellowship, and youthful celebration under the theme of living the joy and energy of Christian youthfulness.
The camp was graced by the presence of the ICYM President and core team members from the Diocese of Diphu, whose active participation and leadership further energized the young participants. Their guidance helped reinforce the values of unity, service, and spiritual commitment among the youth.
The highlight of the camp was the celebration of the Holy Eucharist by Rev. Fr Joachim Puma SDB, the Parish Priest. In his homily, he expressed immense joy at the large turnout and congratulated the youth for taking time to celebrate their faith and identity as young Catholics. “Your presence in such numbers speaks of your desire to live your faith meaningfully and joyfully,” he encouraged.
Rev. Fr Jecky G. Sangma SDB, the Assistant Parish Priest, along with the religious sisters, animated the sessions during the camp. These included engaging talks, group discussions, prayer moments, and youth-oriented activities that fostered both spiritual growth and team spirit.
The camp concluded with a cultural evening and words of thanks from the youth leaders, leaving the participants inspired and united as they returned to their respective villages and communities.
