Cross Parish, Rongkhon, came alive with energy, faith, and youthful enthusiasm as over a hundred young people gathered for the Summer Time Youth Camp 2025, held from 18th to 20th July. The three-day camp was a vibrant celebration of spirituality, community, and talent, bringing together young minds from various parts of the region.
The camp commenced on Friday, July 18, with the arrival and registration of participants at 1:00 pm. The inauguration ceremony began at 5:00 pm with flag hoisting and a solemn Holy Mass presided over by Rev Fr Bartholomew Marak SDB, Parish Priest and setting the spiritual tone for the days ahead. This was followed by animation, ice-breaking sessions, group division, and an introductory talk that helped participants feel at ease and ready for the journey. The evening concluded with rosary and night prayer, an activity session, and a leadership evaluation meeting.
Saturday, July 19, began with morning prayer and praise, followed by Holy Mass and a cleanliness campaign, reinforcing values of cleanliness and care for the environment. A packed schedule unfolded with multiple sessions, animation, and group activities that included Bible skit preparations, singing practice for the Sunday Mass, and competitions. Highlights of the day included adoration, confession, and a lively evening of friendly competitions, which showcased the creativity and enthusiasm of the participants. The day concluded with a reflective night prayer and evaluation.
The final day, Sunday, July 20, began with morning devotion, animation, and a final thanksgiving session. After breakfast and packing, the participants gathered for a heartfelt Holy Mass, followed by the valedictory function and lowering of the camp flag by Rev Fr Anthony Sangma SDB, marking the official close of the youth camp.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the parish leaders, youth animators, and volunteers, the Summer Time Youth Camp 2025 was a resounding success in shaping the faith and fellowship of the next generation.
