The Summer Time Youth Camp 2025 at Mendal concluded with great fervour and enthusiasm, marking the successful completion of days filled with faith, formation, and fellowship. The final day was graced by Rev. Fr. Anthony A. Sangma, whose dynamic presence and inspirational session on “Youth – Be the Change You Want” left a deep impact on all the young participants.
Fr. Anthony challenged the youth to become agents of transformation in their families, communities, and the Church. Emphasizing the power of personal example, he reminded them that real change begins from within and that the youth have the strength and responsibility to build a better society rooted in Gospel values.
The spiritual highlight of the day was the Holy Mass, solemnly celebrated by Fr. Anthony, which brought the camp to its liturgical and emotional climax. The Mass was marked by heartfelt participation, vibrant singing, and a deep spirit of thanksgiving.
Earlier in the day, following the morning prayer, the youth gathered with representatives of the Parish Council and Marian Sodality for the election of new youth leaders. Through a spirit of dialogue and discernment, new leaders were chosen to guide the Parish Youth movement forward with fresh vision and commitment.
The camp officially concluded with the lowering of the Parish Youth Flag and sub-centre flags, symbolizing the end of the 2025 edition of the Summer Time Youth Camp. The atmosphere was one of gratitude and joy, as the youth returned home energized, spiritually uplifted, and more committed to living out their calling as builders of a better tomorrow.
