The vibrant spirit of youth ministry was reignited at Don Bosco Parish, Mendal as the much-awaited Summer Time Youth Camp was officially inaugurated on the evening of 11th July 2025 at 5:00 PM. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Fr. Daniel Ch. Marak, Assistant Parish Priest of Jengjal Parish, who served as the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring keynote address to the assembled young people.

The theme for the camp, “CHADAMBERANG BEBERAANIO DAMSAN REMIKKANGNA” (translated as “Let us walk together in faith and unity”), sets the tone for a week filled with meaningful activities and reflection.
In his address, Fr. Daniel Ch. Marak encouraged the youth to embrace the opportunity to grow in values, faith, and friendship. He emphasized the importance of being rooted in Christ while being active members of society.
Fr. Tomey Anikuzhikattil SDB, the Parish Priest, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Salesian brothers who have taken up the responsibility of animating the camp. He also thanked the Province for reviving the Summer Time Youth Ministry, a vital platform for nurturing and accompanying young people in their journey of faith and life.
