Coordinators and Delegates for the Social Experience Dimension of the Salesian Provinces of South Asia at a meeting at Dimapur.
Rev Fr Cletus Sebastian SDB, Province Coordinator and Delegate for the Social Experience Dimension, participated in the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) meeting held in Dimapur from 27 to 28 June 2025. The two-day gathering brought together 12 Salesians from various provinces across India to evaluate, plan, and strengthen the SYM movement.
The meeting focused on enhancing the visibility and vibrancy of SYM, a network of young people from diverse associations and groups inspired by the Salesian Youth Ministry. Delegates engaged in meaningful discussions on the hopes and aspirations of young people and emphasized the importance of accompanying them in their journey of faith and service.
A key agenda item was the preparation for the upcoming SYMSYNOD and reviewing the implementation of resolutions drawn during SYMFEST 2025 held earlier this year at Tirupatur, Chennai. The deliberations aimed to reinforce the direction and impact of SYM activities across the provinces.
Rev Fr Cletus expressed hope that such collaborative platforms would continue to inspire new energy and commitment in nurturing the Salesian spirit among the youth.
Rev Fr Patric Lepcha SDB, DBYA, SA Youth Delegate incharge was the main resource person at the meeting held at Dimapur.
