On 15 June 2025, Seventy-six fathers from across the parish gathered today at Holy Family Catholic Church, Rongjeng Parish, for a Fathers’ Day celebration organized by the Rongjeng Parish Youth.
The highlight of the occasion was a special Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Bara SDB, Assistant Parish Priest of Holy Family Higher Secondary School, Rongjeng. In his homily, Fr. Bara reflected on the virtues of fatherhood—strength, patience, and compassion—urging all present to embrace these qualities in their families and wider community.
Following the liturgy, the Parish Youth presented each father with a token of appreciation, expressing gratitude for their guidance and support. The gifts served as a reminder of the nurturing role fathers play, both spiritually and practically, in the lives of their children.
Organizers report that the atmosphere was one of deep fraternity and thanksgiving. “Seeing so many fathers come together in prayer and fellowship is a testament to the strong bonds that tie our parish community,” said one of the youth coordinators.
The event concluded with a blessing and a shared meal, during which fathers and their families enjoyed an informal time of conversation and friendship. Through prayer, gifts, and fellowship, the Rongjeng Parish marked Fathers’ Day as both a spiritual and social celebration, honoring the men who—day after day—build up their homes and the Church.
