The faithful of St Joseph's Co-cathedral Church, Panbazar devotedly attended the Marian Procession organised by the Parish.
On 31st May 2025, the St Joseph’s Co-Cathedral Parish at Panbazar, Guwahati, organized a Marian Procession to conclude the month of May, dedicated to Our Lady. Despite the rain, a large number of faithful parishioners participated in the procession, which was held at the Don Bosco School building, Panbazar.
The procession was led by Rev. Fr. Vincent Xalxo SDB, the Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. Kishore Mushahari SDB, the Assistant Parish Priest. The gathering was further graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, the Provincial, who spoke to the congregation on the significance of Mary in the life of St. John Bosco. He reminded everyone how Mary Help of Christians guided Don Bosco at every step in the founding of the Salesian Congregation. “Mary was there at the starting of the congregation and all that Don Bosco did was guided by Mary Help of Christians,” the Provincial said.
In his message, Fr. Sebastian emphasized the importance of emulating Mary’s example of service, particularly on the Feast of the Visitation. “Like Mary, who went to help her cousin Elizabeth in her time of need, each of us is called to be of service to our brothers and sisters,” he said.
The Marian Procession concluded with the blessing of the statue of Mary Help of Christians, leaving the faithful filled with peace and devotion.
