The would be novices of the Province in front of the Salesian Novitiate, Sunnyside, Upper Shillong.
On Wednesday, 28th May 2025, ten Pre-novices of the Province made their way to the Salesian Novitiate at Sunnyside, Upper Shillong, marking the beginning of their spiritual journey. They were accompanied by Rev. Bro. Alex Champramary SDB, the brother assistant.
Before their departure, the Pre-novices were gathered at the Provincial House, Panbazar, where Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, the Vice Provincial, offered words of encouragement and advice, wishing them the very best for their time in the Novitiate.
Rev. Fr. Charles Deepen Lakra SDB, Rector of the Provincial House, led the group in a prayer for their safe journey, entrusting them to the protection and guidance of Mary Help of Christians.
Upon arriving at the Novitiate in Sunnyside, the Pre-novices were warmly welcomed by the community members and their companions from the Salesian Province of Shillong, with whom they will begin this significant chapter of their formation. In the evening they will be initiated into the novitiate as novices.
