Under the blazing sun of a hot summer day, the grounds of St. Francis Xavier H.S. School, Dotma, came alive on Wednesday 28th May 2025 with energy and cheer as it hosted a friendly sports event featuring girls’ Kabaddi and football matches between St. Francis Xavier H.S. School, Dotma, and Don Bosco School, Ramfalbil.
The event was a joint initiative led by the Principals Fr. Naresh Jojowar of St. Francis Xavier and Fr. Joseph Mung of Don Bosco School along with Fr. Somesh Tudu, the Vice Principal of the host school. The day aimed to encourage sportsmanship, team spirit, and friendship between the two institutions.
In a spirited Kabaddi match, the host team, St. Francis Xavier H.S. School, secured a well-earned victory. The football match saw Don Bosco School, Ramfalbil, triumph with a decisive 5–2 win, displaying skill and determination.
Despite the heat, students from both schools turned up in large numbers, cheering enthusiastically and showing exemplary sportsmanlike conduct.
The day concluded with a short celebration where players and spectators were congratulated for their participation. Refreshments, including light tea and snacks, were served, adding a warm and gracious end to a day filled with energy, unity, and healthy competition.
