
The Parish of Shallang celebrated Marian Day on Sunday, 25th May 2025, with a Marian Procession around the town to honour the Blessed Virgin Mary. The event was graced by a large number of parishioners who gathered to participate in the solemn celebration.
The main celebrant for the Holy Mass was Rev. Fr. Hubert Ch. Marak, SDB, Assistant Parish Priest, who also marked his birthday on this special day. The Mass was attended by a large crowd of faithful, who not only participated in the Eucharistic celebration but also joined in the procession around Shallang, expressing their devotion to the Mother of God.
Rev. Fr. Markus Lakra, SDB, Parish Priest of Shallang, addressed the congregation on the pivotal role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the lives of all Christians, encouraging them to look to her as a model of faith and humility.
The event was a profound display of devotion, with the faithful singing hymns, praying the Holy Rosary, and engaging wholeheartedly in prayers throughout the day. The procession and Mass brought the community together, reflecting the deep love and reverence for Mary, the Mother of God.
