The Vocation Camps for Post Matric boys were conducted at Jorapara (Mendal) and Sirajuli from 24th to 27th March 2025. A total of 25 boys participated in the camps, with 14 attending at Jorapara and 11 at Sirajuli. These camps aimed to help the young aspirants understand the Salesian vocation and mission better.
The inaugural programme was held at 6:00 PM in both locations. Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim, SDB, Vice Provincial, inaugurated the camp at Sirajuli, while Rev. Fr. Anthony Sangma, SDB, presided over the inauguration at Jorapara. Their presence and words of encouragement set the tone for the enriching days ahead.
Throughout the camp, the participants engaged in various activities designed to deepen their knowledge of Don Bosco and the Salesian mission. They had the opportunity to experience the prayer life of the Salesians and witness their daily activities within the community. A specially prepared quiz on Don Bosco and the Salesian missions was conducted, allowing the participants to gain a closer and more insightful understanding of the Salesian way of life.
The Province extends its heartfelt gratitude to the communities of Sirajuli and Jorapara (Mendal) for their dedication and meticulous efforts in organizing the camps. Their hospitality and well-coordinated arrangements contributed immensely to the success of the programme, ensuring that the young aspirants had a meaningful and inspiring experience.
