Rev. Fr. Punit Kumar Lakra SDB was officially installed as the Rector of St. Dominic Savio Community, Garobadha, during a installation ceremony held in the morning of 10 March 2025.
On 10th March 2025, Rev. Fr. Punit Kumar Lakra SDB was officially installed as the Rector of St. Dominic Savio Community, Garobadha, during a installation ceremony held in the morning. The ceremony took place during the Holy Mass, which was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial, who had been delegated by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial.
The Holy Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Siby John SDB, Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Anmol Soreng SDB, Assistant Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. George William SDB. After the Gospel reading, the article of the constitution was read, followed by the reading of the decree of appointment of the new Rector by the Provincial. The Profession of Faith was then recited by Rev. Fr. Lakra after a brief but meaningful homily by the Vice Provincial.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Vice Provincial emphasized the importance of humility for the new Rector, urging him to lead with compassion and dedication in order to carry forward the mission and vision of the community.
Following the Mass, Rev. Fr. Lakra was congratulated by the priests, sisters, and the hostel boys and girls, who gathered around him to offer their warm wishes as he embarked on his new role.
