In a vibrant celebration of women’s empowerment, Mrs. Dipanjali Hazarika and Mrs. Jiwanti Hazarika, beneficiaries of NABARD’s Integrated Tribal Development Project in Dibrugarh, showcased their exquisite handmade Eri Silk yarn products at the NABARD Assam Regional Office this Women’s Day on 08th March 2025.
The two artisans, known for their commitment to traditional craftsmanship and sustainable livelihoods, presented their creations to an audience that included NABARD officials and local dignitaries. Their efforts and skill were duly recognized by Mr. Loken Das, Chief General Manager of NABARD, who honored them with mementos for their notable achievements.
The event also highlighted the significant role played by Bosco Reach Out (BRO) in enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of local women, marking another step towards economic self-sufficiency in rural Assam. This collaborative initiative not only celebrates the artistic heritage of the region but also reinforces the message of women’s empowerment and sustainable development.
