His Grace John Moolachira, the Archbishop of Guwahati blessing the newly renovated St Teresa of Kolkata chapel at DBI.
A significant milestone was marked at Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Kharghuli, on 19th February 2025 as the extended chapel dedicated to St. Teresa of Kolkata was solemnly blessed by His Grace John Moolachira, the Archbishop of Guwahati. The expansion of the chapel now provides a more spacious environment to accommodate a larger number of students for prayer and worship.
In his address, Archbishop John Moolachira congratulated the priests of DBI for their dedicated efforts in ensuring that students have an enhanced place for prayer and spiritual growth. He acknowledged the importance of faith in education and praised the institute for fostering a nurturing environment for students’ holistic development.
Rev. Fr. Cletus Sebastian, SDB, the Executive Director of DBI, welcomed the Archbishop, along with priests, religious sisters, students, and well-wishers who gathered for the occasion. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to making the day’s event a meaningful and memorable one.
Following the blessing, a solemn Holy Mass was celebrated, signifying a moment of divine grace and thanksgiving for the institute. The Eucharistic celebration witnessed a large congregation joining in prayer, reinforcing the spiritual foundation of the DBI community.
Among the congregations present at the event were Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim, SDB, Vice Provincial, and Rev. Fr. Jayaprakash Anthonimuttu, SDB and the youth of the institute.
