
n an effort to better prepare students for the complexities of today’s job market, educators, social workers, student counsellors from various institutions in the province of Dimapur gathered for a days training at ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Dimapur for a career counselling training session titles ” how to become a Career Guide” this happened on 24.01.2025. The event drew over 35 Teachers, Counsellors, Vocational Trainer and Social Workers eager to enhance their skills.
Rev. Dr. Fr. Roy George SDB, Executive Director of AIDA, inaugurated the event and welcomed the resource persons, including Rev. Fr. Gabriel Karunaraj SDB, National Director of the Don Bosco Job Placement Network, and Rev. Fr. Renigo Roy SDB, Assistant Professor at Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur, along with the Job Placement Team and all the participants. He then honored the resource persons with a gamcha in a traditional way. He motivated the participants to embrace the importance of career counselling.
In his words: “Today’s students face a rapidly changing job market, and it’s crucial that we equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. By utilizing tools like multiple intelligences and career mapping, we can offer more personalized guidance.”
