Special prayers were offered for the Provincial and the two delegates before their departure to Rome for the General Chapter.
A special prayer was offered for Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial and the two delegates, Rev. Fr. Joy Kachappilly SDB and Fr. Nicodim Aind SDB, as they prepare to leave for the 29th General Chapter on 13 February 2025.
The prayer was led by Rev. Fr. Lukose Cheruvalel SDB, invoking God’s guidance and blessings upon the three as they embark on this significant journey of discernment and decision-making for the Salesian Congregation. The prayer was followed by a special blessing imparted by the seven newly ordained priests, adding a profound spiritual dimension to the occasion.
In a gesture of appreciation and fraternity, the three delegates were also felicitated with a “phoolan gamcha” by the senior confreres present at the gathering. The event coincided with the celebration of New Priests’ Day 2025, making it a moment of joy and communion within the Salesian family.
As they leave for the General Chapter, the thoughts and prayers of the entire province accompany Fr. Provincial, Fr. Joy, and Fr. Nicodim, that they may be enlightened by the Holy Spirit in their deliberations and contribute meaningfully to the future of the Congregation.
