Fr Thomas Lakra SDB along with other priests, religious and faitful of Kalbari Catholic Church cut the cake as part of the Silver Jubilee of the Kalbari Catholic Church under Bengtol Parish.
Kalbari Catholic Church, a small but vibrant community under Bengtol Parish, marked the Silver Jubilee of its foundation with great devotion and joy on January 19, 2025. The Holy Eucharist was solemnly celebrated by Fr. Thomas Lakra SDB, whose pastoral ministry saw the humble inauguration of the church 25 years ago.
The celebration witnessed the presence of Fr. Damian Basumatary SDB, the current parish priest, along with his assistant, Fr. Jimmy T. Sangma SDB, and sisters from nearby institutions. Faithful from St. Paul Zonal and neighboring areas gathered in large numbers, expressing their unwavering faith through active participation in the Jubilee program.
The day was a testimony to the deep-rooted faith and unity of the Kalbari Catholic community. Their meticulous efforts in organizing such a meaningful celebration were truly commendable.
