Rev. Fr. Jecky G. Sangma SDB was ordained a priest on January 11th, 2025, at St. Claret Parish, Ampati, in a ceremony attended by a large crowd of faithful. Rt. Rev. Andrew R. Marak DD, Bishop of Tura, officiated the ordination, with Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial of Guwahati, presenting the candidate to the bishop.
The ordination was graced by the presence of the Parish Priest of Ampati and numerous priests and religious. During his homily, Bishop Marak emphasized the solemn responsibility of priesthood and encouraged Fr. Jecky, urging the faithful to keep him in their prayers.
At the subsequent felicitation program, Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB expressed heartfelt gratitude to the family of the newly ordained priest for offering him to God and to the Salesian Congregation. The joyous occasion marked a significant milestone in Fr. Jecky’s spiritual journey and service to the Church.
