The fourth Vocation Camp began on January 11th, 2025, at Don Bosco Kokrajhar, with 30 boys in attendance. The inauguration ceremony kicked off at 6:30 PM, starting with a hymn to the Holy Spirit and the lighting of the lamp.
In his address, Fr. Emmanuel Marngar SDB, Principal of Don Bosco School, Kokrajhar, encouraged the boys to embrace joy, stating that a Salesian is always happy. He urged them to remain joyful in their journey of faith.
Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial, expressed gratitude to Fr. Markus Lakra SDB, Vocation Promoter, for his dedication in organizing the vocation camps. He also thanked the clerics and the Salesian communities of Bosco Mount, Tangla, Damra, Kokrajhar, and Baithalangso for hosting the camps.
Fr. Mukhim explained that the theme of the camp, “Come and See,” emphasizes the importance of encountering Jesus and responding generously to the call to religious life and priesthood. He encouraged the participants to make the most of the three-day camp and learn as much as possible.
The inauguration was followed by a session led by Fr. Markus Lakra SDB, who provided further guidance to the boys during the camp.
