Rev. Fr. Benny Plathottathil Basil SDB, former Economer of the Province, returned to the Provincial House in Panbazar, Guwahati, on the evening of January 10th, after receiving medical treatment in Kerala. He was accompanied by his elder brother, Rev. Fr. Jose Plathottathil VC, his younger brother Mr. Sabu Plathottathil, who had generously donated a kidney to Fr. Benny, and Fr. Benny Alex.
The following morning, during the celebration of the Holy Mass, Fr. Benny expressed deep gratitude for the support he received from the Province during his illness. He thanked the Provincial House community for their prayers and assistance, and paid special tribute to his family, particularly his younger brother, Mr. Sabu, for his life-saving donation. The Provincial House community welcomed the family with open arms, rejoicing in Fr. Benny’s recovery and return.
