The Salesian Parish of Garobadha was the proud host of the 34th Youth Convention of the Tura Diocesan Catholic Youth Movement (TDCYM). This year’s convention was particularly special, as it marked the Silver Jubilee of the Tura Diocesan Catholic Youth Movement (TDCYM), which was founded in the year 2000.
The event began with an inauguration ceremony, attended by the Bishop of Tura Diocese, Rt Rev Andrew R. Marak DD, and the Auxiliary Bishop, Rt Rev CJ Jose. Both bishops addressed the enthusiastic gathering of young participants, emphasizing the importance of faith, unity, and service in the lives of youth.
The Parish Priest of Garobadha, Fr Siby John Vattappara SDB, along with other Salesian priests working in the diocese, were present at the inaugural function, offering their blessings and support to the event.
The youth convention, which attracted numerous young participants from the Tura Diocese, provided an opportunity for the youth to come together in faith, learn from one another, and build stronger bonds within their communities.
