On 24th December 2024, the Don Bosco Institute (DBI) at Kharghuli celebrated the spirit of Christmas with the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families of Joypur village. The event brought festive joy to the marginalized community, underscoring the true essence of Christmas.
Fr. Cletus Sebastian, SDB, Executive Director of the Institute, emphasized the importance of giving during his address. “The message of Christmas is about giving. Jesus came to comfort the poor and the downtrodden, and it is a privilege for the Institute to celebrate the joy of Christmas with the poor and the marginalized,” he said.
The celebration featured children singing melodious Christmas carols, which created a joyful atmosphere. The highlight of the event was the cutting of the Christmas cake, symbolizing unity and togetherness.
