The Meeting of the Vocational Guidance Commission (Formation) of the Salesian Province of Guwahati was held on Saturday 14th December 2024 at the Provincial House, Guwahati. The session, beginning at 10:30 A.M., was marked by a structured agenda aimed at strengthening vocational promotion and guidance efforts in the province.
The meeting commenced with an opening prayer led by Fr. Joseph Almeida, followed by a warm welcome from the Vice Provincial. Key discussions included updates on vocational promotion activities, approval of the timetable for the upcoming Vocation Camps (2024-2025), and planning for the post-matric vocation camp.
Other highlights included deliberations on the strategic plan for 2025, the role of Salesian communities in vocational guidance, and formation programmes for aspirants. Innovative approaches to vocational promotion were also explored, emphasizing the need for adaptability in addressing contemporary challenges.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and a closing prayer by Bro. Firstjoy Felix Sutong.
