Staff members of the Provincial House along with Rev Fr Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial and others.
The Don Bosco Provincial Community celebrated a joyful Pre-Christmas programme on 22 December 2025 along with the support staff members of the Provincial House, marking the festive season in a spirit of gratitude, fellowship, and faith.
The programme began with the Christmas Novena, followed by the Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial, and concelebrated by the members of the Provincial Community.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal reflected on the grace bestowed upon the Blessed Virgin Mary, chosen by God to be the Mother of the Saviour. He highlighted Mary’s humble and faith-filled response to God’s call, expressed beautifully through the Magnificat, her song of praise and thanksgiving. The Provincial invited the community and the staff members to learn from Mary’s spirit of humility, trust, and gratitude, encouraging them to recognize God’s blessings in their own lives and to respond with joyful service. At the end of the Mass, he extended his heartfelt Christmas greetings to all the staff members and wished them and their families the blessings of Christmas and a joyful, peace-filled New Year 2026.
Following the Holy Mass, a short Christmas get-together was organized, during which the staff members added colour and cheer to the celebration through lively dances and melodious Christmas carols. Rev Fr Charles Deepen Lakra SDB, Rector of the provincial House gave a message of love and service to the staff members. He spoke of the peace that the Lord’s birth brought into the world and invited everyone to be peace-makers in today’s world. The occasion was further marked by the distribution of Christmas gifts to all the staff members as a token of appreciation for their dedicated service.
