The Catholic community of St. Dominic Savio Church, Garobadha, experienced a historic and grace-filled moment on 28th September 2025 with the Inauguration and Blessing of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at Pattangre. The solemn rite was presided over by Most Rev. Andrew R. Marak, DD, Bishop of Tura, who blessed and dedicated the chapel to the Lord for perpetual adoration and devotion.
The event marked a significant milestone in the spiritual journey of the faithful of Pattangre, providing them with a sacred space for prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and communion with God. It was a moment of joy and thanksgiving, strengthening the bonds of faith within the community.
The inauguration was graced by the presence of several priests which includes Fr. Jogesh, Principal and Rector, Don Bosco Junior College, Tura, Fr. Siby John, Parish Priest, Garobadha, Fr. Punit, Rector and Principal, St. Dominic Savio Community, Garobadha, Fr. Threinus, Rector and Principal, Don Bosco School, Chandmari, Tura and others.
The celebration was further enriched by the participation of a large number of FMA Sisters from Mazzarello Convent, Garobadha, and Auxilium Convent, Tura, reflecting the unity and collaboration of the Salesian Family in the mission of the Church.
The program was marked by devotional prayers, blessings, hymns, and cultural expressions of the faithful, creating an atmosphere of festivity and reverence.
The day concluded with heartfelt words of gratitude to all who contributed to making the chapel a reality, followed by moments of fellowship. It was a day that will be remembered as a milestone in the history of St. Dominic Savio Church, Garobadha, and a testimony of faith for generations to come.
