Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram, organized a specialized course titled “Personality Development: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Test and Analysis” for students in the Psychology Department. The programme, facilitated by Fr. Devassy Palatty SDB and organized by the Department of Psychology, engaged first and third-semester students in a unique journey of self-discovery.
Dr. Priyanka Devi, Head of the Department of Psychology, assisted the animator, enriching the session with her professional expertise and guidance.
The course unfolded in two distinct phases. In the first, Fr. Palatty delivered an insightful presentation on “Personality Development and Self-Discovery,” highlighting the importance of understanding personal identity, growth, and the role of personality in shaping human behaviour.
The second phase introduced students to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Participants completed the MBTI questionnaire and later received one-on-one sessions with the animator between September 9 and 12, during which personalized results were shared. This interactive exercise allowed students to gain clarity about their personality types, strengths, weaknesses, preferences, and possible career pathways.
