
The faithful of West Arnibil Village under Doomni Parish rejoice at the Chapel Blessing dedicated to St Jude Thaddeus by Bp Thomas Pullopillil of Bongaigaon.
The faithful of West Arnibil Village rejoiced as the newly built St. Jude Thaddeus Chapel was blessed by His Lordship, Bishop Thomas Pullopillil D.D. of Bongaigaon, on 19th August 2025. The solemn ceremony marked a milestone in the faith journey of the local Catholic community.
Present for the occasion were Rev. Fr. Bhaskar Raj Chinthamalla SDB, Parish Priest of Doomni, along with Rev. Fr. Robert Basumatary SDB, Principal and Assistant Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. Jonas Topno SDB, Parish Priest of Barpeta Road.
Bishop Thomas expressed his delight at the completion of the chapel and commended the Parish Priest and the faithful of Doomni Parish for their commitment and support in bringing the project to fruition. He encouraged the community to make the chapel a place of prayer, unity, and spiritual growth.
In his address, Fr. Bhaskar Raj Chinthamalla conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Bishop, the parishioners, and all those who contributed towards the construction of the chapel. “This chapel is a blessing for the village. It is an opportunity for everyone to gather, pray, and seek God’s blessings regularly,” he said.
The blessing of St. Jude Thaddeus Chapel stands as a symbol of faith and devotion, offering the faithful of West Arnibil Village a new spiritual home to nurture their relationship with God.
