
Felicitation of the mothers of St Joseph's Co Cathedral Church Panbazar on Sunday 31 August 2025.
The Catholic community of St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral Church, Panbazar, joyfully celebrated a special day dedicated to mothers on Sunday, 31 August 2025. The solemn Holy Eucharist was presided over by Fr. C.T. Lukose SDB, Director of Snehalaya, as the main celebrant. He was joined by Fr. Francis CJ, Fr. Alex Mathew, Principal Don Bosco School, Panbazar, Fr. Bromio Marak, Vice Principal and Fr. Vincent Xalxo, Parish Priest who concelebrated at the Holy Mass.
The celebration witnessed the participation of more than 125 mothers, who gathered in faith and thanksgiving. In his homily, the main celebrant reflected on the invaluable role of mothers as the heart of the family, their selfless love, and their vital contribution to the faith formation of future generations.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, a felicitation programme was organized in honor of the mothers. Each mother was presented with the traditional Assamese Pholan Gamocha, a gesture of deep respect, love, and gratitude for their sacrifices and dedication.
The event concluded with a sense of joy and thanksgiving, as the faithful expressed appreciation for the gift of motherhood and the special place mothers hold within the Church and society.
