The campus of St. Francis Xavier Higher Secondary School, Dotma came alive on 23rd August 2025 with the vibrant Inauguration of the Arts, Crafts and Science Exhibition, an event that showcased the creativity, innovation, and talent of the students.
The programme began with a warm welcome accorded to the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Marngar SDB, Principal of Don Bosco School, Kokrajhar, who was received with enthusiasm by the school community. The inauguration ceremony opened with a prayer, followed by a welcome song presented by the students, setting a joyful tone for the day.
In his inaugural address, Fr. Emmanuel Marngar SDB congratulated the students and staff for their efforts in organizing such a meaningful exhibition. Drawing inspiration from the theme “Carpe Diem” (Seize the Day), he encouraged the students to make the best use of every opportunity that comes their way, to nurture their creativity, and to channel their talents towards building a brighter future for themselves and for society. He highlighted that exhibitions like these not only bring out the artistic and scientific potential of students but also instill confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that are essential in today’s world.
The exhibition featured a wide variety of art and craft displays, science projects, and innovative models, all meticulously prepared by the students under the guidance of their teachers. Parents, teachers, and visitors admired the exhibits, praising the ingenuity and hard work put in by the young learners. Many of the projects reflected concerns about the environment, technology, and sustainable living, showing the students’ awareness of global issues.
