Rev Fr Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial hoisting the National Flag on the occasion of the Independence Day at Provincial House along with the community members and staff members.
The Provincial House, Panbazar, on 15th August 2025 joined the nation in commemorating the 79th Independence Day with solemnity and patriotic fervour. The day’s celebration began with the Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, SDB, Provincial.
Following the Mass, Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial hoisted the tricolour in the presence of the community members and staff of the Provincial House. The fluttering national flag served as a symbol of unity and the enduring spirit of freedom.
On the occasion, Rev. Fr. Theotimus Lakra, SDB, Youth Mission Delegate of Dimapur, delivered a brief yet inspiring message, urging everyone to pray for peace and prosperity in the country. He reminded all of the responsibility to nurture harmony and work towards the well-being of every citizen.
The gathering concluded with the singing of the hymn “Into That Heaven of Freedom” by Rabindranath Tagore, expressing a collective commitment to work hard in love and fraternity towards all brothers and sisters.
