The Second Annual Spiritual Retreat of the Province commenced on 27th July 2025 at Siloam, Umiam, amidst an atmosphere of prayer and reflection. The retreat is being preached by Rev. Fr. Biji Thomas SDB, who opened the retreat with a deeply personal sharing of the beginnings of his charism as a retreat preacher. Encouraging all retreatants to journey inward during these sacred days, Fr. Biji urged everyone to draw closer to God and spend quality time in prayer.
Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial, played a key role in finalizing the retreat timetable and organizing the smooth functioning of the retreat. He also appointed the key personnel for various responsibilities, ensuring a well-coordinated spiritual experience for all.
Rev. Fr. Chellanthara John SDB, Rector of Boko, has been appointed as the Rector of the retreat, tasked with overseeing the daily operations and spiritual needs of the participants.
The retreat will culminate on 2nd August 2025 with the renewal of vows by the confreres. The concluding Holy Mass will be presided over by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, the Provincial. We wish all the confreres a profound spiritual renewal and a blessed time of grace as they retreat to encounter the Lord in silence, prayer, and fraternity.
