Bro. Phabian Baglari SDB conducted a session for the youth of Kokrajhar during the Summer Time Youth Ministry (STYM) at Don Bosco Kokrajhar.
Don Bosco Kokrajhar witnessed a vibrant start to the Summer Time Youth Ministry (STYM) 2025 on the evening of 25th July 2025, drawing together around 120 enthusiastic youth from the parish. The programme commenced with a deeply spiritual Eucharistic Adoration, animated by Rev. Fr. Francis Basumatary SDB, the Rector and Parish Priest of Don Bosco Kokrajhar.
The inaugural evening featured the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a Welcome Speech by the Youth President, setting a warm and hopeful tone for the three-day programme. Cultural vibrancy filled the air with welcome and traditional Garo dance performances, while dignitaries such as the Pastoral Council Vice President addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of youth involvement in the Church.
The programme also included the felicitation of First Division students, showcasing academic excellence, and culminated with a hearty dinner, wrapping up the first day of festivities and faith.
The second day 26th July began with Holy Mass, flag hoisting, and multiple sessions on youth formation, leadership, and games, along with a spectacular array of animation dances from the Garo, Santhal, and Bodo communities. The evening witnessed a Dance Competition and prize distribution, further fostering a spirit of unity and joy.
The event will conclude on 27th July 2025 with Holy Mass by the Rector and Parish Priest, the lowering of the flag. The STYM 2025 at Don Bosco Kokrajhar is not just a programme it is an experience of community, culture, faith, and youthful dynamism.
