A powerful and spirit-filled Jesus Youth Retreat was held at Don Bosco Church, Bhooteachang, from 1st to 3rd July 2025, drawing around 235 young people from the surrounding areas. The retreat created an atmosphere of deep prayer, praise, and personal transformation, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.
The three-day retreat had the vibrant elements of a charismatic renewal gathering, where many youth testified to having received inner healing and spiritual renewal. The sessions were marked by moments of intense worship, Eucharistic adoration, and preaching that touched the hearts of the attendees. Several participants experienced a deep outpouring of the Holy Spirit, with visible signs of healing and renewal. Many were seen falling under the power of prayer, a common experience in charismatic gatherings.
The retreat was led by Mr. Emmanuel Joseph, a gifted animator and preacher, whose powerful messages and prayer sessions guided the youth towards an encounter with Christ. His sessions, rooted in Scripture and personal testimony, resonated deeply with the young people. Mr. Raju Challangili, the National Coordinator of Jesus Youth, meticulously planned and oversaw the entire programme, ensuring that everything unfolded smoothly and effectively.
Speaking after the retreat, organisers and parish leaders expressed their gratitude to the Lord for the spiritual fruits borne during the three days. “It was a grace-filled time. We saw lives being touched, chains being broken, and hearts returning to God,” said one of the volunteers. Many youths shared how the retreat helped them experience personal healing, clarity in their life direction, and a renewed desire to follow Christ with courage and conviction.
The retreat concluded with a Thanksgiving Mass, during which the youth came forward to testify to the blessings they had received. The Don Bosco community at Bhooteachang expressed its deep appreciation to the Jesus Youth team for animating the retreat and for planting seeds of faith and joy in the hearts of the young.
