Bro Benedict D. Sangma SDB along with the Provincial Rev Fr Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, the Vice Provincial, the Economer and others on the morning before the departure to Manila, Philippines for his studies.
On the afternoon of 8th June 2025, Bro Benedict D. Sangma SDB embarked on a journey to the Philippines to pursue his theological studies. To mark this significant occasion, a special Holy Mass was held in the morning at the Provincial House, Panbazar, for his safe journey.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev Fr Charles Deepen Lakra SDB, Rector of the Provincial House. Rev Fr Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial, Rev Fr Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial, and Rev Fr Jayaprakash Anthonimuttu SDB, Economer, along with other confreres, concelebrated the Mass, praying for Bro Benedict’s success and protection throughout his studies.
In his message, the Provincial, Rev Fr Sebastian Kuricheal, extended heartfelt wishes to Bro Benedict, expressing the Province’s confidence in his future achievements. He personally accompanied Bro Benedict to the airport and from there proceeded to Kumarikatta for the visitation.
Bro Benedict D. Sangma expressed his gratitude to the Provincial and the Provincial Council for providing him with the opportunity to pursue his theological studies. He also appreciated the Province’s commitment to sending confreres abroad for higher studies, allowing them to grow and better serve the Province and the Salesian community. The entire Province extended their prayers and best wishes, accompanying him in spirit as he takes this important step in his formation.
