On the solemn occasion of Good Friday 18 April 2025, Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli, hosted a moving Easter Cantata performed by a dynamic theatre group from Dimapur. The event drew a power-filled audience that included not only the participants of the ongoing Youth Pasch but also neighbouring residents, all of whom were left spellbound by the emotional and artistic portrayal of the Passion of Christ.
The cantata opened with a dramatic reenactment of the condemnation of Jesus by the high priest and Pontius Pilate. With compelling performances and heartfelt narration, the audience was drawn into the final hours of Jesus’ earthly life. The evening concluded with a serene and reflective scene of Jesus by the lake, leaving a lasting impression of peace and hope.
Fr Cletus Sebastian, SDB, Executive Director of Don Bosco Institute, warmly welcomed the artistes and all those involved in making the event a success. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude and wished that the performance would inspire everyone present to grow in their love for the suffering Christ and be touched by His profound personality.
