
The four students from Assam Don Bosco University who participated in the District Level Bharat Viksit Youth Parliament held at Gauhati University, Guwahati.
After being shortlisted from many participants in the Kamrup District, among the 30 youths selected from Kamrup, four students from Assam Don Bosco University participated in the District Level Bharat Viksit Youth Parliament held today March 22, 2025 at the GUIST Building, Gauhati University. Out of 150 selected candidates from the districts of Kamrup, Nalbari, Tamulpur, Bajali, and Baksa, 54 turned up for the event, where discussions and speeches showcased leadership and policy-making skills.
The selection round required candidates to upload a one-minute video based on what the Bharat Viksit Youth Parliament personally meant to them. The topic of discussion for the day was “One Nation, One Election”—A Way Paving to Viksit Bharat. Each candidate delivered a speech for three minutes, and after evaluation, 10 candidates were selected for the state-level round, which will be held on March 26, 2025, at the Assam State Assembly. This includes one student from Assam Don Bosco University, marking a proud moment for the institution.
The event provided a platform for young minds to engage in governance and policymaking. Eminent dignitaries from various government departments made the program successful and encouraging through their presence and words of encouragement, fostering active participation in the democratic process.
