In a moving ceremony, the brothers studying Philosophy at Salesian College, Dimapur, on 19th March 2025 submitted their applications for the renewal of their religious life to the Rector of the community, Rev. Fr. Samuel Elow SDB, during the celebration of the Holy Mass on 19th March. The occasion also marked the Feast of St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, making the day even more significant for the brothers.
Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial, was also present at the Holy Mass and, along with the Rector of the House, accepted the applications of the brothers, acknowledging their renewed commitment to their religious vocation.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Samuel offered words of encouragement and congratulations to the brothers, recognizing their bold step of re-dedicating themselves to their religious calling through the renewal of their vows. He drew a parallel between the brothers and St. Joseph, urging them to follow in the footsteps of the patron saint by embracing Christ wholeheartedly in their lives.
“Like St. Joseph, you too are called to accept Christ in your lives. Just as St. Joseph welcomed the words of the angel and accepted Mary and the Child Jesus into his home, so must you be ready to embrace Christ in your hearts and in your service,” Rev. Fr. Samuel said, inspiring the brothers to deepen their commitment.
The second-year Philosophy brothers from the Guwahati Province submitted their applications with joy and happiness, marking a significant milestone in their spiritual journey as they continue their studies and religious formation.
