The Parish Youth Convention 2025 was successfully organized at St. John Bosco Parish, Boko, from March 13-16, 2025, bringing together young participants for a spiritually enriching and culturally vibrant experience.
The four-day convention commenced on March 13 with an inaugural Rosary and a solemn Eucharistic celebration led by Rev. Fr. Anthony A. Sangma, Dean of Studies, Bosco Mount Rongkhon, Tura. The event featured inspiring sessions, dynamic discussions, and faith-building activities aimed at nurturing youth leadership and spiritual growth.
Distinguished resource persons, including Rev. Fr. Jecky G. Sangma, SDB, and Rev. Fr. Kerubin Minj, SDB, Principal of Don Bosco Boko School, conducted engaging sessions throughout the convention. Rev. Fr. Bivan R. Mukhim, Vice-Provincial of Guwahati, celebrated the Holy Mass on March 14, while Rev. Fr. C.A. John, Parish Priest and Rector, presided over the Eucharistic celebration on March 15.
The convention was filled with morning exercises, interactive discussions, games, and cultural programs, along with a special address by representatives from the Salesian Youth Mission Convention in Chennai. On March 15, the event reached its peak with a singing and Bible skit competition, bringing out the creative talents of the youth.
The convention concluded on March 16 with a final Holy Mass and a solemn youth flag-lowering ceremony, marking the end of a spiritually uplifting and memorable gathering. The entire event was meticulously coordinated under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Mathias Mrong Marak, SDB, who served as the overall in-charge of the convention.
